Meet William F. Burk
Who am I?
I am an award-winning author of epic fantasy, experimental flash fiction, and erratic and dark poetry. I draw my inspirations from novelists such as Terry Brooks, Philip Pullman, Brandon Sanderson, and Tolkien. So, where am I different, you might ask... I mean, I get it, EVERYONE is inspired by Tolkien. Well, the largest part of my storytelling style comes from manga such as One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bleach. My writing is a blend from all of these things, influences also by a childhood steeped in JRPG games. So, if you like epic fantasy stories told with manga-esque action and the world-spanning scope of JRPG games, then I'm the writer for you! ありがとうございます。＾＿＾
My Background (Where'd this guy even come from?)
I was born and raised in rural Northwest Georgia, right beneath the Smoky Mountains! It was here, that I spent many of my childhood days wandering in the forest behind my house (I still remember being so deep into the woods that I could barely hear my mother calling my name to come home), and I believe that it was these mini adventures that initially cultivated in me a spark of adventure and fantasy. It was at this time that love was solidified by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and I've lived in my fantasy worlds ever since. I wouldn't begin writing until much later in life, but once I started, I knew that my heart truly belonged in storytelling. Writing is freedom. That's about all there is. I now live Northwest Georgia with my wife, who remains my wonderous support and my muse.

I am a simple man, with a simple goal: to bring entertainment into the world and encourage the freedom of storytelling!
Let's Talk Vibes (My Books)
My stories, as I said above, are heavily influenced by JRPG games. As such, I love to focus on fast-paced action with fleshed-out, fully explored magic systems. While I do write fantasy, my worldbuilding is a mix of high fantasy and steampunk elements (mostly because I LOVE airships ^_^'), with vivid locations and strange cultures. I don't like slow stories, so expect my books to whisk you off like a tornado and bring you right into the action! I also love mythology, and I love to incorporate myths and lore poems into my stories to not only move the plot along, but to add depth to my strange and odd worlds.
